The 23-year-old moved to the German champions from Borussia Monchengladbach in the off-season and has been in fantastic form, scoring 10 goals in 19 games so far this term.
Reus has played an integral part in Dortmund's progression to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, and believes their qualification is testament to the quality of the Bundesliga.
"German football has really improved in the last two or three years," he told The Times.
"I still think the Premier League is the best in Europe, with most of the top international players, but Germany has caught up well and the difference is getting smaller and smaller.
"Our fans get the feeling that German football is really development, and it is actually really attractive to watch now."
