France's biggest derby kicks off on Wednesday for the second time this week, with the fierce rivals meeting at the Parc des Princes for their Coupe de France round-of-16 tie.
And the former Bordeaux defender is adamant he will not shy away from the opportunity to go head-to-head with one of Europe's foremost talents, after only starting 11 times this season.
"I like to face world-class players," Diawara told reporters of the Swede.
"When you're defending and you have the chance to play against players like that it sure is motivating."
The Senegal international has, however, said he will stop short of preparing any differently for the game.
"If I have the chance to play, for sure I will prepare," he added.
"But I'm not going to do any special training just for Zlatan."
The two clubs met previously on Sunday for the latest edition of Le Classique, with the Parisiens claiming a 2-0 win in the Ligue 1 encounter.
