The 37-year-old has been training with Premier League side Arsenal recently to maintain his fitness levels after parting ways with LA Galaxy in December, and fielded several offers from clubs across the globe.
He will now stay with the Ligue 1 leaders until the end of the current campaign and will donate his wages to a Paris children's charity.
Speaking at his official unveiling, Beckham said: "I'm excited. It's something we've been talking about for quite a while and it's finally happened.
"I'm very lucky. I'm 37 years old and I had more offers now than I've had in my career. I chose Paris because I can see what the club are trying to do.
"It's an exciting city, but now there's a club that's going to have a lot of success over the next 10, 15, 20 years. To be part of something that's growing is something that's very exciting to me."
Quizzed on working under his former AC Milan mentor again, he added: "Carlo's one of the best managers I've worked with."
During a five-year stint at Galaxy, Beckham made 98 appearances, scoring 18 goals in the process, while he also enjoyed two separate loan stints at Milan whilst on the books of the MLS club.
The former England international was linked with a number of English clubs over the past few weeks, most notably Arsenal, but Beckham insists he would have only have considered rejoining Manchester United, saying: "Unless it was Manchester United I wouldn't want to play for a Premier League team."
