The Brazil international completed his move from Sao Paulo on Tuesday, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract at the Parc des Princes.

There is some stiff competition for Lucas to compete against in the PSG first team with Ezequiel Lavezzi, Jeremy Menez, Nene and Javier Pastore all playing in a similar position to the 20-year-old.

In a press conference, Lucas said he hoped to make his mark in France and help the wealthy Qatar Investment Authority owned outfit secure a first Ligue 1 title since the 1993/1994 season.

He told Sky Sports: "Choosing PSG is a challenge for me. They have a long history with Brazilian players and I hope I can add a new chapter to that story and please the fans."

The young attacking midfielder understands that a lot is expected of him but insists he does not feel the pressure.

Lucas added: "Everyone expects a lot from me but I have a lot of confidence.

"I'm glad to know (coach) Carlo Ancelotti is counting on me. I don't feel the pressure.

"I'll try to do my best and give my all for the team. I'm here to offer my assistance."
