The Levante forward has been in contact with the Seattle club during the MLS pre-season, and with Sounders officials reportedly ready to meet the player's €3million release clause, the former Newcastle and Birmingham striker could be on his way to America before the week is over.
"It's a good deal for me, it is a good deal for everyone and it would be nice for my family to go to America," he told Spanish radio station Cadena SER Valencia.
"I came to Levante for very little money and they will receive more than what it cost to sign me, so it would be a good deal for Levante."
The Sounders take on Montreal Impact this Saturday at CenturyLink Field, hoping to record a home win in their first MLS fixture of the 2013 season.
