The Rossoneri welcome the Catalan giants to the fabled San Siro for their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie.
Having previously met at the quarter final stage last season, in what turned out to be a dour 0-0 draw in the corresponding fixture, the two teams prepare to do battle once more.
Galliani, however, insists that it will not be the same game when the two teams meet on Wednesday, and believes the Milan club have what it takes to come out on top.
"It will be a great event, a great game," Galliani stated. "It is beautiful to be in a position to be a part of this game.
"We'll be up against the best side in the world. Look at their midfield - it's the one that Spain won the World Cup and European Championship with.
"I won't make any prediction as I can't see into the future, but we believe. Barca are favourites, but the favourites don't always win."
The Milan supremo also took time out to praise the talents of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi, signalling him out as the player to watch when the two clubs meet.
"Messi is the best player of all time," he added. "He is even better than Diego Maradona and Pele."
