Arsenal are negotiating the free transfer of Athletic Bilbao centre back Fernando Amorebieta, according to the player's agent.

The Venezuelan defender has failed to agree an extension to his current deal at San Mames, which expires at the end of the season, paving the way for a potential move to London in June.
The player's representative, Gines Carvajal has now intimated a move to the Emirates Stadium is a possibilty come the end of the current season.
"We are in talks with Arsenal, he could join them in June," he is quoted in the Daily Mirror.
"We have had some contact with Anzhi [Makhachkala], they were ready to make a good offer, but my client wants to play in England so the transfer to Russia was not possible."
The 27-year-old is likely to leave Bilbao at the end of the season regardless, with the Basque club withdrawing their offer to extend his current stay after the player's initial rejection.
