Barcelona winger Pedro Rodriguez has denied claims the Catalan giants are overly dependent on Argentine star Lionel Messi.

Messi reached yet another personal milestone this weekend scoring his 300th club goal for Barca after his brace earned the Blaugrana a 2-1 victory over Granada.
But Barca teammate Pedro was quick to dismiss suggestions his team rely too much on the world's best player.
"No, we're not dependent on Messi," he said.
"Clearly he is a key player for his contribution and his goals.
"He always takes the team on his back and if he is not on form then it is noticeable, but the team is very strong and I do not believe that we are Messi dependent."
The Spain international, however, did take the time to praise the extraordinary statistics of the diminutive forward, and even suggested that the best is yet to come from such an incredible talent.
"Messi is a player with great ambition. These figures are unimaginable. He is getting lots of goals and I hope he continues with this ambition and desire," Pedro added.
"He is a decisive player, the best in the world. It may be that the best is yet to come from Messi. He has exceeded again in getting a new record number of goals."
