Real Madrid Jose Mourinho felt the need to defend his position as manager of the La Liga giants following their 1-1 draw with Manchester United in their Champions League clash on Wednesday.

Danny Welbeck stunned the capacity crowd at the Bernabeu with his opener after 20 minutes before Cristiano Ronaldo restored parity 10 minutes later in their last-16 first-leg clash.
The result gives the Red Devils a slight advantage with the away-goal heading into the second leg on March 5, but Mourinho, whose season is hinging on European glory with his side 16-points adrift of Barcelona in the Spanish league, insists he is under no pressure.
After the match, he said: "I don't feel any pressure. "I work hard, am very serious and am happy with what I do.
"I have peace of mind and my head is high, but there is no pressure really. I have no idea if his future depends on the second leg and I am not worried about it."
Mourinho added that United could have won the game but is confident his side can still come out on top, at Old Trafford.
"It was possible for them to win 3-1 because they had two big chances when Alonso cleared off the line and Diego made a save," he said. "I won't criticise what they did. United did their job well and got the result they wanted.
"They came here not to concede space and goals and they didn't play to win. But they know Real Madrid can do it there."
Ronaldo took his goal extremely well as he jumped unmarked to head home an Angel di Maria cross, and in a mark of respect for his former club, he refused to celebrate.
The winger said: "I was in Manchester for six years so tonight was very emotional for me. I scored a goal but I didn't celebrate out of respect.
"Maybe United are favourites now, maybe not. Anything can happen. Sometimes we are better away than at home so we will see. It will be amazing to play at Old Trafford again after four years. It will be another emotional night."
