Real Mallorca have installed Gregorio Manzano as their new manager just a day after parting ways with Joaquin Caparros.

A poor run of form in La Liga that saw the club record 13 defeats in 17 games, leaving them second from bottom in the standings was enough to cost Caparros his job.
Mallorca president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer had said on Monday that they were looking at ways of consolidating their position and followed up this statement with the speedy appointment.
Manzano, who has managed the club on two previous occasions, will be formally presented on Tuesday afternoon. A brief statement on the club's official website read: "RCD Mallorca has reached a tentative agreement with Gregorio Manzano to lead the first team.
"The technician will be presented this afternoon, at 13:00pm in the press room at the Iberostar Stadium."
