Jose Mourinho's men have recorded just one victory in their last six matches on the road, although they have not lost to Valencia in the last eight meetings between these two sides.

Valencia boss Ernesto Valverde will be looking for a positive reaction from his men as they prepare to face Los Blancos for the second time in the space of a week.

Los Che suffered a 2-0 defeat at Real Madrid in midweek, and now face an uphill battle in the return leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-final.

Valverde will have to make do without the services of suspended duo Daniel Parejo and Joao Pereira, while skipper David Albelda and defender Victor Ruiz are rated doubtful.

Sergio Canales (knee) and Jeremy Mathieu (ankle) will definitely miss out as they continue their recoveries.

However, Valverde will not be able to direct his team from the dugout after being sent to the stands in the midweek cup clash.

Real also have a number of selection concerns, with playmaker Kaka and defender Sergio Ramos both ruled out through suspension.

Portuguese international Pepe is currently on the treatment table, but Cristiano Ronaldo returns to the starting line-up following a ban.

Goalkeeper Antonio Adan has also completed a suspension and could be handed a starting berth at the expense of Iker Casillas.
