The last time Barca failed to collect all three points in a league match was back in October when they drew 2-2 with Real Madrid.

Since then, the Catalan giants have gone on to open up an 11-point lead over second-placed Atlético Madrid, as well as a 16-point cushion over third-placed Real.

Tito Vilanova's side will go into the game on the back of a 4-0 league victory over Espanyol, coupled with a 5-0 thrashing of Córdoba in the Copa del Rey.

Vilanova will have to make changes in midfield after promising youngster Sergi Roberto was ruled out for a month with a hamstring injury.

Malaga are sitting in fourth spot in the Primera Division, all of 21 points adrift of their weekend opponents.

Los Boquerones went down 1-0 to Deportivo La Coruna in their last league encounter, but scored a 4-1 midweek cup win over Eibar.

Malaga attacker Javier Saviola will be up against his former team, while Roque Santa Cruz will be another player Barca will need to keep an eye on.

The Paraguayan ace has been in decent form in front of goal this season, and like Saviola, has five league goals to his name.
