Barcelona have announced that Lionel Messi, Xavi and Carles Puyol have all agreed to extend their current contracts with the club.

Messi will sign a new deal to keep him at the Nou Camp until 2018, with Puyol and Xavi extending their stay until 2016.
A statement on the club's official website read: "FC Barcelona can announce that it has reached agreements with Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez and Leo Messi for the renewal of their respective contracts.
"Carles Puyol's contract expires on June 30, 2013, but will be staying at the club until June 30, 2016.
"Xavi Hernandez's contract with the club ends on June 30, 2014 but it includes conditions for renewal, which are to be exercised until June 30, 2016.
"Leo Messi already had a contract with FCB until June 30, 2016, which has now been extended until June 30, 2018.
"This news means that FC Barcelona has secured its ties with three of its most important players. Over the course of the next few weeks, Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez and Leo Messi will all be signing their respective new contracts."
