Los Merengues have failed to find top form in La Liga this season and are currently lying third on the standings, 11 points adrift of leaders Barcelona.
On Wednesday they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Celta Vigo in the first leg of their Copa del Rey fifth-round tie, a sixth loss in all competitions this term.
The speculation is that this will be the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss' final campaign in charge of the defending league champions.
But on Sunday Perez came out and gave his coach the full backing.
"We have the best coach in the world," Perez said. "He's had to endure unjust attacks and insults, even one that touches the dignity of his person. From here, all my gratitude and affection.
"There is no unattainable goals, as you know our coach and players. Already this season has made us happy with the first title of the season, as the Super Cup."
Mourinho signed a two-year contract extension in May that ties him to the club until 2016.
