The Galacticos have put their early season struggles behind them and have clawed their way up to third in the standings, although they still lie eight points behind leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona.

Jose Mourinho's men also needed a last-gasp goal from Mesut Ozil to rescue a 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek, although the Portuguese ace's side have scored a monstrous 43 goals in all competitions so far this season, with 12 different players on target in the league.

Levante, meanwhile, have been in fine form this season and currently sit sixth in the standings, just three points behind their weekend opponents.

Los Granotes are also undefeated in their last four La Liga matches, winning three before drawing against Sevilla last weekend, while they have beaten Real Madrid twice and drawn once in their last three home matches against the side.

On the team front, Fabio Coentrao could start for the hosts after sitting out the midweek European Cup draw, while academy player Llorente also trained in preparation for this weekend.

Gonzalo Higuain is out for three weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained against Dortmund, while Karim Benzema is also out with a muscle issue, meaning Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to play as a lone striker.

For the hosts, winger Nabil El Zhar should return after overcoming a calf strain that has kept him sidelined for the last three matches.

Gustavo Munua is set to return between the sticks after sitting out the midweek Europa League tie against FC Twente, but Dariusz Dudka misses out with a groin strain.
