The current joint league leaders are one of only two teams to remain undefeated after nine games this season, the other being Atletico Madrid, who are tied with Barca on 25 points.

The Blaugrana were amongst the goals again last weekend as they thrashed Rayo Vallecano 5-0, while they ran out 3-0 victors over Alaves in the Copa del Rey in midweek.

Os Celestes sport a woeful away record ahead of their trip to the Nou Camp, having lost all five of their games on the road in the new campaign.

The Galician outfit have also not beaten the Catalans in eight years - their last success came back in May 2004 when they recorded a 1-0 win at home.

In team news, Barca coach Tito Vilanova is still without first-choice defenders Carles Puyol (dislocated elbow) and Gerard Pique (foot).

Puyol is likely to be sidelined until December at least, while Pique is still struggling to shake off the injury which has kept him out since September.

Vilanova is expected to recall the rested Alex Song to partner Javier Mascherano in the heart of defence.

Meanwhile, Celta coach Paco Herrera is expected to make wholesale changes to his starting line-up after most of his first team were rested for the Copa del Rey defeat at Almeria.

Defender Gustavo Cabral misses out as he serves a one-match ban for his red card in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Deportivo La Coruna.

Herrera must also do without fellow defender Samuel and midfielder Natxo Insa due to injury.
