Reports suggest the former Chelsea striker is keen to end his seven month relationship with Shanghai Shenhua following disputes over unpaid bonuses.
The Rossoneri manager has wasted no time in praising the hitman following stalled attempts to sign Brazil forward Kaka and Mario Balotelli.
"A player like Drogba would certainly improve both the technical level and self-esteem of the team," he told Sky Italia.
"We'll see what the club are able to do, otherwise we'll carry on as we are, looking to have a good second half of the season because that is our objective.
"Champions of his (Drogba's) calibre are very welcome. (Vice-president Adriano) Galliani will know if the deal is feasible.
"I'm calm, the club is just thinking about what could help us out and what we could do about it."
Drogba is currently on duty with Ivory Coast at the 2013 AFCON tournament in South Africa.
