Brazil international Kaka had previously spent six successful years at the Italian club, including a career highlight Champions League victory in 2007, culminating in him being crowned the world's best player.
His spell at Real Madrid, however, has been less successful, with poor form and injuries hindering his playing time at the club, and Galliani has confirmed there has been contact between the two sides to bring Kaka back to the San Siro on loan.
"It's true, I was very, very pleased with Kaka's words. There is contact with Real Madrid, but at the moment I haven't got any news for you," he said.
Galliani admits that any potential loan move still poses a difficult challenge, adding: "Will it be possible to sign Kaka? It will be difficult, very difficult. How hard will I try? We'll see..."
