The AC Milan forward, who began his career at the Sao Paulo giants, before joining Real Madrid and then Manchester City, returned on loan to Peixe before securing his move to Italy.

But after almost three seasons with the Rossoneri, Robinho is ready for a return to his homeland.

Flamengo have reportedly had a €6million bid for Brazil international turned down, while Fluminense and Sao Paulo are also tracking his movements.

Robinho told Globo Esporte: "Everyone knows how much I like Santos. I grew up there, I have a beautiful history at the club.

"Flamengo are a great club, too. Both clubs are big, but there is nothing decided yet. I am still under contract with Milan. Let's see."

City refused to let Robinho renew his six-month stay at Santos in 2010 with the two clubs unable to agree a transfer fee for his outright sale.

Despite only starting seven games for Massimiliano Allegri's side, Robinho maintains he will not force a move away.

He added: "Everything is fine regarding the club. If I leave or not, I don't know. Only God knows the future.

"What is certain is that I have a contract and I am a Milan player."
