Tevez was close to joining the Rossoneri in January in the midst of his self-imposed exile, but the two clubs failed to agree a transfer fee for the City forward.
Galliani subsequently ruled out a renewed bid for the 27-year-old, but he has since confirmed his intention to resurrect the club's bid to sign the Argentina international.
"I want Tevez," the 67-year-old told Corriere dello Sport. "We will do everything to get him."
More pressing matters for Milan is finding adequate replacements for stalwarts Alessandro Nesta, Mark van Bommel, Filippo Inzaghi, Gennaro Gattuso and Clarence Seedorf, the experienced quintet all coming to the end of their time at the San Siro.
"I am sad," added Galliani. "Those players have kept us on top of Europe for years. Against age, however, there is little to be done.
"But those guys will be missed and will be difficult to replace."
