The Swans became the first team to score five goals in a League Cup final when they swept aside League Two outfit Bradford City 5-0 at the home of English football on Sunday.
Two goals a piece from Nathan Dyer and Jonathan de Guzman, along with yet another Michu strike - his 17th of the season - was enough for the Welshmen to secure silverware.
Laudrup, though, believes the Bantams' incredible achievements in qualifying for the showpiece - dispatching Arsenal and Aston Villa en route to the final - needs a special mention.
"To lift the trophy is great," the Dane said. "But the way we did it says a lot about our performance.
"We all know what Bradford have done this season. It is absolutely outstanding. This final will remain in the history books, a small part because of us, a large part because of Bradford."
"It is one thing to win a trophy with Barcelona, Real Madrid or Juventus, but to win one with a smaller team like Swansea is absolutely fantastic," Laudrup added. "It is their first major trophy ever and, especially in this season, is up there with the best things."
