Jones withdrew from the Young Lions' friendly against Sweden on Tuesday and Pearce revealed the defender was suffering from shingles.

Although the 20-year old has been declared fit by Ferguson himself, the 70-year old is fuming about the lack of confidentiality shown by the England camp.

"What about doctor confidentiality?" the Red Devils boss said.

"We are disappointed with that."

This would be the second time the nature of a player's injuries has been divulged by a national team manager, after England senior team boss Roy Hodgson revealed that Ashley Young had a knee injury.

"It is something we have to address," Ferguson added.

"The FA is a big organisation, things can leak from a lot of different places.

"But that was a conversation between our doctor and theirs, and shouldn't have gone any further."
