The former England international joined the Hoops from Tottenham on deadline day, putting pen to paper on an 18-moth deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2014/15 season.

Jenas, who had been on loan at Nottingham Forest before signing with the R's, has been riddled with injuries in recent seasons and the game against the Canaries was his first in over two months.

However, the midfielder insists he is fully committed to getting back to full fitness and is willing to put in the extra hours.

"I was delighted to get out there for half an hour," Jenas told the club's official website. "I felt composed and felt I kept the ball well. Now I will build from there.

"I know what my body needs, and if it needs more to get my fitness levels up, then I'll do more."

Jenas has been reunited with Harry Rednkapp at Loftus Road and the 29-year-old hopes he can convince his former boss that he deserves a place in Rangers' starting lineup soon.

"It was my first game since November, so it's been a while. But I'll be doing extra work in training throughout this week and trying to get myself to that level where the manager feels I am in a position to start," he said.
