Fellaini scored the winner when the two sides squared off on the opening day and he has now scored three goals in total against the Premier League leaders.

The 25-year-old admitted that the Toffees need to achieve results against the best teams in the league if they are to maintain their push for UEFA Champions League qualification.

He is now hoping that Sunday's encounter will set them on their way as they look to overhaul Tottenham, who currently occupy the coveted final qualifying spot.

"First I look forward for Belgium and after we will see [what happens] against Manchester United," Fellaini told Everton's official website.

"Every game against Manchester United is a good game.

"It's a big challenge but everyone wants to play Champions League so it is important to keep going and win every game."

The Belgium international noted the positive atmosphere within David Moyes' squad and spoke of his satisfaction with their never-say-die attitude, as witnessed in the Merseysiders' 3-3 draw with Aston Villa at the weekend that secured a vital point for the team.

Fellaini was responsible for both the second and third goals on the day, the latter coming four minutes into time added-on.

He added: "It's difficult to win when you make a mistake but Everton have good spirit and try to win every game at home. It was a good point.

"Every game I try to give my maximum and to score goals. It's not just me - the players and supporters help, everything is important."
