The pair link up with their former boss, Jenas on an 18-month deal and Townsend for the remainder of the season, for hopefully some much-needed first-team football.
Jenas is a former Nottingham Forest and Newcastle player who has spent time at Aston Villa and his former Reds after finding chances limited at Spurs, while Townsend is all too familiar with being farmed out, with this his ninth loan spell after turning out for Yeovil, Leyton Orient, MK Dons, Ipswich, Watford, Milwall, Leeds, Birmingham, and now QPR.
After completing his move Jenas told the club's official website: "It's great to be linking up with Harry again. Him being here was key to me making the move.
"I know what he brings as a manager and on a personal level, it's an opportunity for me to play football.
"It's no secret I've had some injury problems in the last couple of years, but this is a great opportunity for me to play in the Premier League - and hopefully keep this club where they belong."
Redknapp added: "I know JJ very well, I had him at Tottenham. I think he's a good player. He can get from box to box, he's quick, strong and athletic. He's a good lad with a great attitude. I'm sure he'll be a big asset for us."
On Townsend, Redknapp said: "Andros is a kid with a fantastic future. I like Andros an awful lot. He's a winger, he's strong, he's quick, he's brave and he scores goals.
"He's unlucky that he's got Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon keeping him out of the team. I think eventually he'll become a big player."
Meanwhile, the player who has made just 10 appearances for Spurs this season, was delighted with his switch. "I worked with Harry at Spurs - he gave me my debut - so it was a no-brainer when QPR came in for me.
"Harry has brought me in to do a job for him. I'm confident in my own ability and I want to repay him. I live for pressure games. I'm looking forward to the challenge."
