After the R's agreed an undisclosed fee with the Korean club, the defender signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Loftus Road, following a successful work permit application.

A statement on the club's official website read: South Korean international Yun Suk-Young has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Loftus Road.

The highly-rated defender, who was an integral member of the South Korean Olympic squad that won bronze at the London Games last summer, put pen to paper after the R's agreed an undisclosed fee with K-League side Chunnam Dragons for his services.

Yun, 22, made his full South Korea debut last October in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Iran.

The left-back, who has been named in the South Korea squad that take on Croatia in a friendly at Craven Cottage early next month, has been on the radar of a number of top European clubs in the last few years, but Rangers have jumped to the top of the queue to clinch his signature.

Suk-Young has been granted a work permit and will be eligible to play for the R's once he obtains a visa.
