Yossi Benayoun has returned to Chelsea after a frustrating period at West Ham that had seen him plagued by a knee injury.

The Israel international has not played in a Premier League match since he was involved in the Hammers' 1-0 victory at Newcastle in mid-November, and he had only appeared five times for Sam Allardyce's side prior to this.
Benayoun is currently receiving treatment at the Blues' Cobham training ground with the extent of his injury unclear at this point.
He spent time on loan at Arsenal last season where he scored four goals in 19 appearances, and has played only 11 times for the west Londoners since moving from Liverpool in July 2010 for £5million.
