Graham: Eye deadly partnership

Danny Graham is keen to strike up a partnership with Swansea teammate Michu in 2013 after successfully deputising for the Spaniard on Saturday.

Michu sat out on the trip to Craven Cottage with an ankle injury, but wasn't sorely missed as the Swans ran out 2-1 winners over Fulham, with Graham opening the scoring for the visitors.

The pair had started to form something of a lethal partnership in the Welsh team's first three league games, scoring five goals between them.

However, Swans boss Michael Laudrup separated the two when the side hit a rough patch of form, getting just one point from four, opting for Michu over Graham.

But the 27-year-old striker insists that the pair can co-exist in the same starting 11. And he'd rather play with his partner than watch him from the sidelines.

He told SkySports: "I don't think I can keep him out of the team - he's done that well!

"I'd definitely like to get a few more games with him and play with him.

"He's come in as an attacking midfielder but done a job up front. If I get the chance to have a run in the team with Michu, I'm sure we could go on and score a lot of goals at the back end of the season.

"But, first and foremost, it's about the team. It's not about me not playing or how well Michu's done - it's down to the group of boys in there who just want to do their best for Swansea City Football Club."

Graham also stated that he has no intentions to leave the Liberty Stadium anytime soon.

"I've always said I'm happy at the club, so if the gaffer wants me here and part of his plans, there won't be any reason to leave," he added.
