MIchu: Doubtful for Cottagers clash

Fulham will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing stalemate with Southampton when they host Swansea City, who are equally desperate for a win.

Martin Jol's team have been struggling of late, winning only one of their last 11 matches to sit just six points above the relegation zone in 14th on 21 points.

They nearly improved on that record against the Saints, but couldn't hang on for the win, conceding the equaliser in the dying seconds of the game.

Midfielder Bryan Ruiz returned to the team to play 45 minutes on Boxing Day after recovering from a hamstring injury, and is in contention for a starting berth on Saturday. Fulham have missed the Costa Rican's creativity in midfield and he should provide a boost to an attack that has been lackluster in recent games.

Philippe Senderos will hope to keep his spot alongside Brede Hangeland in the centre of defence after being preferred to Aaron Hughes.

The Swans, meanwhile, have gone four games without a win in the league and sit in ninth place on 25 points after their 0-0 draw with relegation-threatened Reading.

To compound matters, Michael Laudrup's side have been dealt a major blow with the injury of in-form striker Michu, who is a major doubt for the game after he limped off with an ankle injury against the Royals.

Michu has scored 13 goals this season and is joint top scorer with Manchester United's Robin van Persie.

The Swans will still be without right-back Angel Rangel but could welcome back winger Pablo Hernandez, who has spent over a month on the sidelines, for the clash at Craven Cottage.

Swansea will be hoping to maintain their recent dominance over the Cottagers, having done the double over Fulham last season, without conceding a goal and winning the corresponding fixture 3-0.
