The 30-year-old has established himself as a key first-team member since arriving from Blackpool in July 2008, winning back-to-back promotions under former Canaries boss Paul Lambert.

Hoolahan is also a regular feature under current manager Chris Hughton, having started 13 of the team's 17 games in the Premier League this season.

The Irishman has helped the Norfolk outfit to a nine-match unbeaten run in the top-flight, and scored his first goal of the new campaign on Saturday to clinch a 2-1 win over Wigan, which took Hughton's side to seventh in the standings.

He has now been rewarded with a new deal that will keep him at Carrow Road until 2015.

Hoolahan told the club's official website: "I am over the moon. I always wanted to sign a new deal and the club have given me the opportunity to sign a long-term deal here. I couldn't be happier.

"I am here until 2015, I have been here for four years and that would take me to seven. I have really enjoyed my time here, my family love it here and it is great to pencil it down and I am just looking forward to the rest of the season now.

"The last couple of years have been great coming up from League One all the way up to the Premier league and doing so well last year. We are doing even better this season and hopefully we can keep that run going.

"The last few months I have been playing and it is just great to be involved with the lads. We have got some top-quality players here and I am really enjoying it."
