The England player is out of contract at the end of the season and will be free to sign on a Bosman free transfer in January.

Following the loss of Robin van Persie to Manchester United, Walcott has become an increasingly important part of the north London side, and is their top goal scorer with 10 goals in 17 games this season.

Wenger admits he is growing tired of the current situation.

"He knows what I want and he has to make up his mind. We have not made any progress. I have no news, I am frustrated," Wenger said.

"We are in negotiations for a long, long time. We have not been late in re-negotiations with him. We always try to extend contracts very early," added the Frenchman.

The 23-year old is currently rejecting and a five-year deal worth £75,000-a-week.

He has made just five starts, with a further seven substitute appearances, in 16 league games this season.
