Parker, who got injured during England's EURO 2012 campaign and hasn't featured for Spurs since, underwent surgery in August to alleviate his achilles tendon problem.
Last season's Spurs player of the year has been back in full training for two weeks and played a full 90-minutes in a reserves loss to Ipswich.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas will, however, resist the temptation to rush the player back into first-team action.
"We have players coming back to fitness and Scott can be so important for us. He was player of the season last year and we expect him to be one of our main strengths.
"He hasn't lost his abilities. Now we have resumed light training with him, he has been absolutely amazing."
