Everton defender Sylvain Distin has called for fans to be realistic about the club's chances of qualifying for European competition this season.

The Merseysiders have made a flying start to the campaign, the victory over Manchester United on the opening weekend a particular highlight.
The Toffees' form has since tapered off and they have only managed to win once in their last nine matches, losing one and drawing the rest.
Despite this worrying form, they are still only three points off the top four and Disitin has called for patience from the fans in their bid to qualify for Europe.
"A lot of people will moan at us for not winning games but remember where we were at this time last season," the centre-back told SkySports.
"It is disappointing to be out of the top four but look at how much the teams around us have spent. Look at how much we have spent and we lose a top player every season.
"People have to be realistic. We have to realise that at the moment we are doing really well."
