Koscielny lasted only four minutes of the Goodison Park encounter and was replaced by the returning Kieran Gibbs.
The French defender extended himself to make an interception and appeared to pull his groin muscle in the process.
And after the game Wenger said, referring to his fellow countryman: "He has a groin strain. That's usually three weeks."
Meanwhile, Theo Walcott, who was seen to be limping towards the end of the hard-fought encounter, has a slight ankle knock, but is expected to be back for Saturday's home clash with Swansea.
"He was injured. He was not 100 per cent in the second half. He got a little bit injured on his ankle," added the Gunners boss.
