The home side were quick out of the traps with the impressive Pablo Hernandez crossing for his fellow Spaniard Michu to open the scoring in the ninth minute, with his eighth Premier League goal of the season.

Hernandez was the provider again just two minutes later, after he found Routledge in the area, and the winger then fired the ball past Boaz Myhill.

More good Swansea possession again involving Hernandez, ended with young full-back Ben Davies finding Routledge, who got his second of the game, despite Myhill's best efforts.

The Baggies were poor throughout but pulled one back right on half-time through Lukaku, though both sides were content to play out the second half without creating many chances.
