Everton and Arsenal will clash in a proverbial 'six-pointer' when they meet in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening.

The two English giants are currently separated by one point, the Toffees sitting in fifth with 21 points while the Gunners are one place lower down the order.

A win for either side this week would go a long way in terms of their respective top-four aspirations, while a draw would allow Tottenham the opportunity to leap-frog both sides.

Arsenal, though, currently have more momentum going for them than their upcoming opponents, with Arsene Wenger's men undefeated in their last five outings in all competitions, although their most recent clash ended goalless against strugglers Aston Villa.

The Merseysiders, meanwhile, bounced back from defeat against Reading two weeks ago with a 1-1 draw against Norwich City on Saturday, meaning they have won just one of their last seven league matches.

David Moyes has also not beaten Arsenal in any of the two sides' last 10 meetings in all competitions.

On the team front, the hosts will be able to call on top-scorer Marouane Fellaini after he completed his one-match ban, while Tony Hibbert has overcome a groin strain and could return.

Darron Gibson, though, is doubtful with a similar injury to Hibbert's, but Victor Anichebe and Kevin Mirallas are both expected to return from hamstring injuries, albeit on the bench. Phil Neville remains a long-term absentee after undergoing knee surgery.

For Arsenal, Abou Diaby and Andre Santos remain out with thigh and abdominal injuries respectively, but contract rebel Theo Walcott is back in contention after overcoming a shoulder problem.

A huge boost for Wenger is the fact Thomas Rosicky is set for an "imminent" return to the side after being back in training following a lengthy lay-off with an Achilles problem.
