Lambert: Banned from touchlines

Strugglers Aston Villa welcome an in-form Arsenal side to Villa Park on Saturday evening as the Gunners look to keep up with the title race.

Villa have lost to both Manchester clubs in consecutive weeks and find themselves in the bottom-three with nine points from 12 games.

Paul Lambert won't be in the dugout for the match as he will serve the touchline ban he received from the Football Association for lashing out after the 5-0 loss at Manchester City.

The Villans will have to make do without Joe Bennett (knee), Richard Dunne (groin), Chris Herd (knee) and Charles N'Zogbia (knee).

Craig Gardner will also miss out as he is set to be out for the remainder of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Darren Bent returns from an ankle injury, but is unlikely to force Christian Benteke out of the squad so soon.

The visitors' away form has been lacking this season, having lost their last two Premier League matches away from home to Norwich and Manchester United.

The Gunners have been in encouraging form after those setbacks, however, and are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions.

Arsene Wenger will welcome back contract rebel Theo Walcott, who has recovered from a shoulder injury sustained against Tottenham last weekend.

Wojciech Szczesny will continue his recovery in goal, while Arsenal are still waiting on Andre Santos (abdominal) and Abou Diaby (thigh) who are out indefinitely.

Tomas Rosicky has returned to training but will miss out on the trip to the West Midlands this weekend.
