FIFA have denied Ivorian striker Didier Drogba's special request to go on loan outside of the official transfer window.

The former Chelsea striker requested permission to go on loan when the Chinese Super League ends this month, in order to prepare for his country's African Cup of Nations campaign in January.
FIFA have chosen to deny Drogba the opportunity of a loan outside of the transfer window, making him wait for the window to open in January.
Football's governing body had previously denied special loans for MLS players seeking to keep fit abroad.
