Drogba is currently playing for Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League, having joined from European champions Chelsea in the summer.

The Ivorian enjoyed eight years with the west London club, helping them to three Premier League titles, two League Cups, four FA Cups and one Champions League title, scoring 157 goals in 342 appearances

He is now seeking competitive football for when the Chinese season ends in November. This is in preparation for the Ivory Coast's 2013 African Cup of Nations campaign.

Current international rules prevent Drogba from playing for another club before the transfer window reopens on the first of January 2012.

Meanwhile, FIFA's decision on the matter is still pending.
