Huntelaar is in the final year of his contract at Schalke, and it looks unlikely that he will sign an extension with the Bundesliga club.

After a spectacular 2011/12 season where he scored 10 goals in his first 12 games, the 29-year-old striker has struggled to find the net this season.

With a tally of three league goals and a single strike in the UEFA Champions League, the Dutchman has denied that speculation surrounding his future is affecting his form.

"I only concentrate on my games for Schalke," he told Der Westen when quizzed about a possible move to the Premier League.

While Huntelaar himself has ruled out a January move, his agent has suggested that a resolution could be found much sooner than next summer.

Arnoldus Oosterveer told The Sun: "Klaas has not decided. He's had offers from England, Italy and Spain. It's also possible he could stay in Germany.

"He wants his future planned by the winter. In the next 45 days he wants to know his next project and it will be decided by his football ambitions and not by money.

"His dream is to fight to win titles in Europe and to have chances to be successful, because today he is one of the best strikers in Europe."

Huntelaar has been linked with several top-flight clubs in England, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea.
