After Saturday's 2-1 defeat of Chelsea, which saw the Baggies climb to fourth on the Premier League table, talk has arisen of them playing in Europe next season.
Myhill, who was involved in a similar situation with Hull who were fifth come mid-season but ended up avoiding relegation by a single point, has urged his Albion team-mates to guard against complacency.
"It's too early to think about Europe. The time to think about it is when you've achieved it," he said.
"I've played in some sides which had unbelievable starts to the season in the Premier League. It happened at Hull.
"Then all of a sudden you can't buy a point. We have to carry on the way we are going. If you take your eye off the ball in this league, you will struggle."
The American-born shot-stopper has proved to be a more than capable deputy for Ben Foster, who is suffering from a recurring groin problem.
