The match official was accused of racially abusing John Obi Mikel during the clash against Manchester United last month, although Metropolitan Police have already dropped the case due to lack of evidence.
The Football Association, though, are still to release their findings, although an announcement is expected by the end of the week.
Clattenburg, who was interviewed by the FA, along with the two assistant referees Michael McDonough and Simon Long and fourth official Michael Jones, has strongly protested his innocence, but agreed to not take charge of any matches until the situation had been concluded.
