The Baggies are currently in fifth position after 11 matches and are looking in ominous form under the tutelage of Steve Clarke.
Albion face possibly their toughest test yet when they welcome Chelsea to the Hawthorns on Saturday, and Ridgewell wants his side to continue their flying start to the campaign.
"I think we deserve to be there. In fact, I think we deserve to have even more points, to be honest," said the 28-year-old defender.
"We've done really well but the main thing is to keep that going and show people it's not just the start of the season.
"We are going into a lot of games now with the Christmas period coming up shortly and we've got to try to keep it going and picking up points."
