The 20-year-old midfielder joined Wolves in January for the remainder of the 2011/12 campaign, but saw his loan spell halted five games in due to ruptured cruciate ligaments.

Frimpong missed the start of the new season, although he has since returned to training with the Gunners having made a full recovery.

However, there has been speculation that his time at the Emirates Stadium may be coming to an end as the youngster has managed just two appearances for the London outfit - both in the Capital One Cup.

Frimpong, though, has rejected the rumours but went on to reveal that he is close to securing a loan move away from the Emirates in order to get some much-need game time under his belt.

"Subject to rumours [I] am not leaving [Arsenal] I am positive of going on loan this week which am really excited about and I am fully committed to [Arsenal]," he said on Twitter.

"And [I] am not in my last year or looking to be sold just to clear matters thank you and going on loan to get games and come back to Arsenal."
