Chelsea have received good news on the injury front, with scans revealing John Terry has suffered "no significant damage" to his knee ligaments.

The Blues skipper was stretchered off the field during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool after colliding with Reds striker Luis Suarez. Terry was in considerable discomfort and it was feared that he may have suffered a season-ending injury in what was his first match back after serving a five-game domestic ban for racially abusing Queens Park Rangers' Anton Ferdinand.
However, those fears have now been allayed after the club announced that he would be sidelined for "weeks rather than months."
"MRI Scans reveal no significant damage to John Terry's cruciate ligaments. He will be out weeks rather than months," the club announced on their official Twitter page.
Terry's injury has left Chelsea short of options in the centre of defence, with Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic their only fit central defenders as David Luiz has tonsilitis and possible stand-in Ashley Cole is battling a hamstring problem.
