The Canaries came from behind on Wednesday night to defeat Tottenham 2-1 to progress to the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup.

After a woeful start to the season, things are starting to improve for Chris Hughton's side, who managed a 1-1 draw at fellow Premier League strugglers Aston Villa last weekend.

However, the Norfolk outfit should've left Villa Park with maximum points after the Villans closed out the match with just ten men.

Meanwhile, the Potters make the trip on the back of their second goalless draw in their last three league games, a drab stalemate at home to Sunderland.

Tony Pulis' men are also winless in as many matches, although they sit reasonably well-placed in 13th position on the table.

In team news, Norwich defender Russell Martin may feature at the weekend as he continues to make good progress from a back injury.

Unfortunately, Saturday's clash is still too soon for on-loan striker Harry Kane (foot) who is only expected back before Christmas.

Stoke's Andy Wilkinson is set to deputise for Marc Wilson at left-back, the latter ruled out for three months with a fractured left fibula.

Glenn Whelan is once again back in contention having overcome a hamstring problem, with fellow midfielder Matthew Etherington also in line for a starting XI bow.
