Rodwell has had a series of injury problems since joining from Everton in the off-season and has started just 10 games for the Sky Blues this season.
The 21-year-old, however, put in arguably his best showing since making the switch to City in the summer against Chelsea on Sunday.
When asked if he thought it was his best performance of the season, the England International replied: "I'd say so, and the team performance was brilliant as well which makes it even better.
"I was in a few good positions and probably should have scored a couple, but I was in the right positions. I was probably fresh because I haven't played. I've been training really hard and I feel stronger than I was before."
Rodwell is eager to build on his performance against the Blues and is hopeful he can continue to get chances in the first team to show City fans what he is capable of.
"My last start was in September. I've not really had a lot of opportunities," he said. "I've had a lot of injuries. I'm still young, so I'm still maturing bodily.
"I feel as though the fans have seen a little bit more of me against Chelsea but there's still a lot more to come in my opinion."
