Jerome has only started one Premier League game this season and has been linked with loan moves to Championship sides Blackburn and Leeds.

However, during his limited playing time, the striker has scored some crucial goals for the Potters recently. He struck a late winner in a 2-1 win over Reading, as well as a late equaliser in a 3-3 with Southampton, and Pulis insists the 25-year-old is an integral part of his squad.

"Cameron has been exceptional," said Pulis in the Daily Express. "His attitude has been first class.

"We didn't have any enquiries and I wouldn't have accepted it anyway because I think he's an important part of the group and the team. He can score all sorts of goals, he has pace and power.

"When the game opens up in the last quarter of an hour, he's a great player to bring off the bench. He's a game changer without a doubt."

Pulis has also been impressed by Jerome's hunger to play regularly and believes he should continue to fight for his place in the starting line-up.

He added: "But he's still moaning and groaning because he reckons he should be playing all the time. I'd be really disappointed if he wasn't moaning and groaning."
