Spurs currently sit one place above north London rivals Arsenal with a one-point lead and a game in hand, while the Hammers occupy 13th place with 30 points.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is boosted by the return of duo James Collins and Joey O'Brien, who took part in training following respective hamstring and thigh injuries.

George McCartney is close to making a first-team return after recovering from a knee injury, but this game is likely to come too soon for him.

Meanwhile, Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas is expected to restore goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to his starting line-up after handing a start to American Brad Friedel for their Europa League clash with Lyon.

However, ankle-injury victim Jermain Defoe will miss out again as he continues his rehabilitation, while Younes Kaboul, Sandro and Tom Huddlestone (all knee) are also sidelined.
