The Canada international has been restricted to just eight starts this season and has featured just once since Harry Redknapp took charge at Loftus Road, following a series of hamstring injuries.

However, the youngster is ready to return to action, and hopes to convince his manager he is ready to play a key role in the Hoops unlikely survival bid.

"I started training last week," he told the Fulham Chronicle. "I've been doing some rehab and strength work and will hopefully be ready for the next match.

"It's been really frustrating, especially when a new manager comes in and you can't show him what you can do because of injuries.

"I've struggled with the same hamstring problem. Hopefully it's sorted now and I can get going. I feel I'm over it now.

"It's been difficult. I came back from injury and got my chance, then got injured again. I've just had to stay focused and hopefully get going again."

The 22-year-old admits it has been difficult watching from the sidelines, considering Rangers current position in the league, and knows the feeling of relegation all too well.

"I want to help the team get the results we need. I haven't been able to do that when I'm on the sidelines," he added.

"It's not a good feeling getting relegated. I know what it's like, so it gives me extra drive to make sure it doesn't happen again."
